People-elected bodies of Ho Chi Minh City and Vientiane should boost
cooperation and experience exchange to contribute to the cooperative
friendship between the two localities, said a senior official from HCM
City.
The Secretary of the Municipal Party
Committee Le Thanh Hai suggested this while receiving a delegation of
National Assembly deputies of Vientiane , Laos during their
working visit in the city on July 27.
Hai
underlined the need to further uphold the role played by people-elected
bodies of Vietnam and Laos , affirming that exchange and sharing
between such bodies of the two countries and HCM City and
Vientiane in particular will contribute to the Vietnam-Laos special
relation and comprehensive cooperation.

Ammarathithada, Chairman of the Vientiane NA deputies’ delegation
expressed his concurrence with Hai’s remarks and said Vientiane can
learn from Vietnam ’s people-elected bodies’ experiences.
The Lao guest also said the two cities should step up cooperation in
the fields of economics, trade and investment and other fields in the
