The People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province has agreed in principle to allow the Da Nang-based Nomura Motors to organize a luxury car racing championship in Nha Trang this August.
The first of its kind in Vietnam, the race -- if approved -- is expected to attract 30 racers from the Ho Chi Minh City-based Car & Passion team, with participants of renowned cars such as Lamborghini Murcielago, and Ferrari 458 Italia.
As scheduled, the race will take place over August 18 – 19, where racers will speed on a two-lane track that is 800 meters long and 18 meters wide.
Racers are to undertake two qualifying rounds before advancing to the final.
Last year, the Car & Passion club organized a luxury car road trip featuring famous car models including Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley and Rolls-Royce in the central city of Da Nang.
