The Vietnam Professional Football Company (VPF) and the Japan
Professional Football League (J.League) on August 7 signed a cooperation
agreement to promote Vietnamese football.
Under the
agreement, the two sides will share information and experience in
organizing tournaments and managing clubs. They will build a number of
training programs for coaches, referees, players, medical care and
marketing as well.
The agreement also underlines
the cooperation in organizing friendly matches between Vietnamese and
Japanese football clubs as well as providing training courses to young
players of different age.
Speaking at the signing
ceremony, VPF chairman Vo Quoc Thang said that the agreement would help
create more opportunities for the development of Vietnamese football in
general and the country’s fledging private football management in
