PANO – The closing ceremony of the “Summer Camp 2012” for 180 overseas Vietnamese students took place at the compound of the Dat Do District People’s Committee in Ba Ria-Vung Tau on July 28^th, with the participation of Nguyen Thanh Son, Deputy Foreign Minister and Chief of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs.

During 19 days of the program, 180 overseas Vietnamese students from 25 countries and territories worldwide traveled to many localities across the country, had exchanges with local youths and joined meaningful activities in tribute to heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the national reunification and independence.

The main event, also the last activity of the Summer Camp 2012, was a special art performance broadcast live on Vietnam Television, in praise of Vietnam, a beautiful country, and its people.

On this occasion, the delegation of 180 overseas Vietnamese presented VND 75 million to the organizing panel for social beneficiaries in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, and for repair and upgrading of the heroic martyr Vo Thi Sau’s memorial house in Dat Do District.
