Motorbike imports slump in April

HA NOI — Viet Nam imported 1,000 Complete Built Unit (CBU) motorbikes worth US$2 million in April, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

Motorbike imports showed a significant decrease in both volume and value compared to March, falling by 80 per cent and 75 per cent respectively. Viet Nam imported 14,000 CBU motorbikes worth a total $22 million in the first four months, equivalent to 50.1 per cent and 44 per cent of the levels recorded in the same period last year. VNS
