The Northern province also allowed one FDI project to increase investment capital by US$409.8 million. The total newly-committed FDI volume surpassed that of the same period of 2011.
Currently, Quang Ninh Province houses 93 FDI projects, with the total registered capital of over US$4 billion. In the second quarter of this year, FDI sector disbursed US$75 million, sending the total figure of these projects to US $950 million, accounting for 25%.
Quang Ninh is now calling foreign investment in 18 projects in five main fields like tourism and entertainment services, seaport and logistics, trade, infrastructure, and human resources training.
The province’s authorities commits to offering the corporate tax level of 10% during 15 years as part of various measures to lure foreign investors.
The Provincial Party Committee Secretary Pham Minh Chinh stressed that the province pays due attention to improving investment environment and policies to boost up FDI and ODA inflows.
