Vietnamese students to compete in ‘Shell Eco-Marathon 2012’

The Hanoitimes - Vietnamese students from the Hanoi Polytechnic University, Ho Chi Minh City Polytechnic University and HCMC University of Industry competed in the ‘Shell Eco-Marathon 2012’ in Malaysia from July 4-7.

 

‘Shell Eco-Marathon’ is a unique competition that challenges students to design and build the most energy-efficient vehicles to save energy and protect the environment.

 

The event was launched for the first time in Europe in 1985, in America in 2007 and in Asia in 2010. Vietnamese contestants took part in the competition in 2011.

 

Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan received the delegation of students at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi o­n July 2 before they left for the competition.
