According to the National Assembly Standing Committee, the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund always tress the importance of mothers’ milk for the development of children in early life.

However, in Vietnam, only 19.6 of under-six month babies are fed totally by breast milk and the rest need alternative milk.

The new law also stipulates that the amount of time for advertisement on pay television channels must account for below 5% of the total time of television shows.

The same day, the Legislature also approved the Law on Water Resources (amended) and the Vietnam Maritime Code.
