3.6 million tonnes of rice exported in six months

The Hanoitimes - Vietnam exported nearly 867,000 tonnes of rice in June, an increase of 35 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA).

However, the country’s rice exports in the first half fell 12.7 percent to more than 3.4 million tonnes.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development estimates that 7 million tonnes of rice will be shipped abroad this year.
