Fete de la Musique, a French celebration of all genres of music, will take place today at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., blending French elegance with the finest local culture.
Starting with the beautiful melodies of local music at 11 a.m. on the balcony overlooking the lobby, the show will be continued by the best local performers selected for the Sofitel Open Stage musical contest in Boudoir Lounge from 2 p.m. till 6 p.m. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. guests can sit back and listen to Vietnamese pianist Nguyen Anh 9 on the balcony, before indulging themselves in an evening of jazz in the Boudoir lounge until 9 p.m. The evening will then be filled with all kinds of tunes by DJ Peanut and DJ Konka till 1 a.m.
Moreover, executive chef Tjaco van Eijken offers diners his four-course Symphony set menu for lunch and dinner at Olivier restaurant. And the hotel’s new cocktail, which is mixed for the event, Bittersweet Symphony can’t be missed.
Fete de la Musique has been the world’s largest international live musical event, since its introduction in France in 1982. The festival encourages both amateur and professional musicians to showcase their talents to the public. It soon traveled abroad and has since become a uniting highlight and a natural link for Sofitel and its network of 120 luxury hotels and resorts across the globe.
