This ceremony is also one of SCG’s celebrations for its 99 years of operations.

It is a part of corporate social responsibility activities carried out by SCG in order to improve quality of life for all communities where it operate by providing education opportunities for Vietnam’s young generation.

Mr. Niwat Komarn, SCG Country Director said: “Over the past 6 years, SCG has witnessed the growth of generations of Vietnamese pupils. Now, many of them who have ever got these scholarships grow up and have success life as they have ever dreamed for. Apart from their own efforts, we can’t deny the significant contributions of teachers. That is the reason why we have started giving out awards for teachers since 2011. SCG hopes that the award would be an encouragement gesture towards the ongoing education devotion of these teachers in helping students realize their dreams and contribute to the overall development of the country”.

This year, the 4 million VND award was given to 23 teachers whose have over 5 years working experiences. They are teachers with high expertise, morality and dedication to teaching.

Besides, the organizers also grant special scholarships to previous SCG “Sharing the dream” scholarship recipients, who just entered into domestic universities with majors in engineering, marketing, business administration and accountancy during the 2012-2013 school year. Each scholarship is worth 4 million VND and various gifts.
