The three-day fair aims to promote trade and help establish a good reputation for Vietnamese fisheries brands on the global market.
The fair, organised by the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (Vasep), has over 175 businesses from the fisheries industry showcasing their products and services, most of which have prestigious brand names and have been attending Vietfish for a number of years.
Some of the more commonly known names include Baseafood, Hai Nam , Minh Hai Jostoco, Anvifish, Minh Phu, and Vinh Hoan enterprises.
The event also draws the participation of businesses from Thailand , Japan , France , India , the United States , and foreign organisations such as the Bangladesh Marine Fisheries Association, Thaifes, and the Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA).
The 2012 Vietfish Fair also offers businesses opportunities to assess market trends and formulate suitable strategies for their products, while seeking out trade partners to expand their markets.
The Vasep says that the Vietfish Fair is high valued by domestic and overseas businesses and is seen as a world leader as well as being the largest fisheries exhibition and trade fair in Southeast Asia.
