Organizers of the 15th Net ve xanh (Green paintings contest) on Wednesday handed over presents to this year’s winners at Phan Dinh Phung Indoor Stadium in District 3.
The preliminary round of this year’s competition attracted 600,000 contestants aged 4-15 from schools in the city and neighboring provinces, with 15,000 entries making the final round.
According to organizers, the drawing contest targeting pupils named Ve tranh theo sach (Drawing pictures based on books) from 1998 to 2003 was renamed Net ve xanh in 2004. Best entries of the annual competition have been exhibited in Japan and Europe and have joined auctions to raise charity funds at home.
The contest is co-organized by the city’s Department of Education and Training, the War Remnants Museum and HCMC General Science Library. For more information check out www.netvexanh.org.vn in Vietnamese and English.
